Toppan Printing concludes a Technology Transfer and License Agreement
and Trademark License Agreement related to PV backsheets with
E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Company
Toppan to develop new PV backsheets and aim for the expansion
of PV related business
Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. (hereafter Toppan Printing; Head office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President & CEO: Naoki Adachi) has concluded a technology transfer and license agreement and a trademark license agreement with E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Company (hereafter DuPont; Head office: Wilmington, Delaware, USA; Chairman & CEO: Charles O. Holliday Jr.). The technology transfer and license agreement is for DuPont's polyvinyl fluoride coating technology for PV (photovoltaic) backsheets, whilst the trademark license agreement is related to the company's Tedlar® registered trademark.
Based on these agreements, Toppan Printing will establish mass production technology that enables more efficient manufacture, and develop new PV backsheets with further enhanced functions.
With these agreements, Toppan Printing will enhance its range of PV backsheet products and further expand its PV backsheet operations.

Expansion of printing operations in overseas markets to be accelerated through integration of SNP Corporation with its broad overseas customer base
Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. (hereafter Toppan Printing; Head office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President & CEO: Naoki Adachi) has decided to acquire through a takeover bid the shares of SNP Corporation Limited (hereafter SNP; Head office: Singapore; CEO: Yeo Chee Tong), a major Singapore printer which has operations in China, Singapore and Thailand. SNP's shares, including those held by Singapore's Green Dot Capital Pte Ltd (53.55% of issued shares), are to be acquired at a purchase price of 1.76SGD (approximately 136 yen) per share. With this takeover, it is predicted that SNP will become a consolidated subsidiary of Toppan Printing.
Through the integration of SNP, which has many overseas customers, Toppan Printing will accelerate business expansion in overseas markets.
