PCAP/Cover Glass Bonding
PCAP/Cover Glass Bonding

Projective capacitive (PCAP) touch panels is increasing in the industrial equipment and mobility industries.
Traditionally, customers would procure LCDs and touch panels separately and then laminate them together. but this presented challenges such as the need for component procurement and inventory management, and the time required to analyses the cause of problems when they occurred.
Therefore, TOPPAN offers optically bonded display that laminate touch panel and cover glass with our LCDs. Optical bonding technology improves display contrast and durability, maximizing the characteristics of Blanview™.
Optical Bonding
Optical bonding is a bonding technology that fills the space between the touch panel and the LCD with a transparent optical adhesive layer to integrate them. Conventional methods that leave an air gap tend to cause reflections, reducing visibility. Optical bonding reduces reflections and glare, enabling excellent visibility even outdoors.
Furthermore, the elimination of the air layer improves impact resistance. It is particularly effective in industrial equipment and mobility applications where visibility and reliability are required.
