TOPPAN provides control boards personalized to your application, integrated with LCD displays and touch panels.

Two types of control boards are available:
command-controlled boards equipped with a microcontroller and memory, which receive control signals from the system board to display image data.
Video input boards that convert video signals from PCs or single-board computers (SBCs) into display signals.

We will propose the appropriate type based on your microcontroller/CPU and desired video output specifications. Furthermore, we provide comprehensive support encompassing not only the display but also touch panel control (capacitive or resistive type) and enclosure design.

Command-controlled type (easyHMI)

“easyHMI” is a TOPPAN’s display solution that packages a touch panel display, a control board with pre-programmed firmware, and drawing software.

Images to be shown on the display can be easily created using the included drawing software. Since simulation can be performed on a PC, this helps reduce development time and resource requirements compared to developing software from scratch.

Command control is conducted via serial communication methods such as RS232C, and the product supports MODBUS (RTU), a standard communication protocol for industrial equipment.

Since this solution minimizes the load on your microcontroller, you can easily add a touch panel monitor to system boards that do not have built-in display or touch panel control features, without the need for extensive new development.

Video Direct

“Video Direct” converts digital video signals output from industrial PCs(IPCs) or single-board computers (SBCs) into display signals for image display.

When customers deploy IPCs or SBCs, this allows direct connection to displays without requiring additional display interface implementation or separate conversion boards, enabling immediate use as a touch panel monitor.

The control board incorporates a touch panel controller(supporting both capacitive and resistive touch). Furthermore, the on-screen display (OSD) function enables adjustment menus to be displayed on the screen, allowing image and brightness adjustments to be performed.

  • The highly robust Blanview™ G series 4.3” WQVGA is equipped with a resistive touch panel and a command-controlled circuit board.
  • It can be connected to a microcontroller board via a single serial port, so you can easily and quickly upgrade 7-segment displays and switches to touch panel displays.
  • Available in an open frame shape that is easy to install in embedded devices.
