Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. (hereafter Toppan Printing or Toppan; head office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Shingo Kaneko) has concluded an agreement with The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to become a Tokyo 2020 Official Partner in the category of Printing Services under the Tokyo 2020 Sponsorship Programme.
Based on its Corporate Philosophy of being “a mainstay of information and culture,” since its founding in 1900 Toppan Printing has consistently offered cutting-edge printing services in such areas as smart cards, holograms, posters, catalogs, publications and food packaging. In a wide range of fields, Toppan contributes to the creation of a convenient and comfortable society that provides safety and security. Based on this business foundation, comprehensive solutions created through the fusion and evolution of marketing, creative capabilities, and diverse printing technologies enable Toppan to engage in a social value creation business through the design of living and information.
Toppan Printing has previously contributed to the holding of the Olympic and Paralympic Games through such activities as printing official posters for the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games, providing services related to high-definition color printing data for weekly magazines reporting promptly on the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games, and producing the accreditation cards used by athletes and staff at the Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In 2014, Toppan Printing introduced a programme for employee athletes. This programme supports employees who compete in sports at the international level and is part of the company’s efforts to promote sports. As an official partner of the Japanese Para-Sports Association, Toppan is proactive in contributing to society through the promotion of sports. This includes the operation of SPORTRAIT, a website that provides information on para-sports.
