TOPPAN Business Action for SDGs

Toppan positions the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a growth engine for accelerating its evolution as a creator of social value. From the 17 SDGs, Toppan has selected material issues on which to focus its efforts and published the TOPPAN SDGs STATEMENT in November 2019 to present to stakeholders the process of selection and the vision for how the issues will be addressed. Building on this, in November 2020 Toppan announced TOPPAN Business Action for SDGs, which identifies the specific areas of Business Materiality on which the Group will focus.

Dialogue looking back at the background and formulation process

As Toppan sets specific target figures and intensifies its efforts, in April 2021 a dialogue was held bringing together members of the Environment, Communities, and People sub-working groups involved in the formulation of TOPPAN Business Action for SDGs as well as a member of personnel from the Business Development Division, which is responsible for driving SDG-related initiatives across the Company. This feature presents in three parts the dialogue between the participants, who reflect on the process of devising the action plan and discuss the thought behind it and the future vision for Toppan.
